Blog BlogDesnudízate warned about exactly this in 2018 — that the two beach restaurants made you dress to eat, which he argued was pulling textile visitors into the first cove. "Desde mi punto de vista es una pena." Eight years later the same restaurants stopped serving nude customers altogether. In April the beach's chiringuitos stopped serving customers who were nude — commercial pressure rather than any change in law, and the sharpest threat the association has faced. President José Gamero: "Little by little the naturist character of the beach could be lost." The underlying vulnerability is structural — Cantarriján has no formal legal naturist status, only tradition and presence. The venue is the story's other half: Relax-Nat, founded 1969 by the Roqué brothers during the dictatorship, the Costa Brava's first naturist camp — and now a refuge as the Colima acquisitions convert former naturist sites. The Naturalmente Pod host came here only because El Portús, his five-summer home, stopped being naturist.

Europe's oldest naturist community (1931) runs a full civic summer: four Colour Parades (25 Jun, 9 Jul, 27 Aug, 10 Sep — nude procession from village square to port, swim, traders' drink), a glitter ball, floating balls at l'Ayguade, a children's volunteer week, free Thursday pilates and yoga on the port slab, and — the standout — the Rencontres Naturistes, which in 2026 run as three separate evenings rather than the celebrated two-night pairing: 24 Jun on sport and nudity, 29 Jul on the right to nudity in public space with jurist Jean-François Feunteun on the port slab, and 10 Sep on naturism and the environment, asking whether the island can be a model. The world's only nocturnal urban nudist race — a town-festival act by cultural group De Bòlit, not a movement event. Their copy is the joy of the whole dataset: "shame doesn't belong to us." 20th-edition promo parodied the town's new rubbish bins with a naked couple defeated by the hatch.

The scale is bigger than the movement calendar suggests: 500-plus runners and over 2,000 spectators by 2005, about 600 people by TV3's count, and 4,000-plus watching in 2004 when 450 ran but only 230 had pre-registered. That gap cost them — the Guinness attempt failed precisely because runners don't sign up in advance. It began in 2003, spontaneously, out of the Els Pirates collective, and the town imposed exactly one condition: it had to run in the small hours. Hence the 03:00 start from the Gran Via, with caipirinhas handed to runners on the line, after a 02:00 foam dance. The slogan has never changed: "Com hem vingut al món" — as we came into the world.

Their year runs to eleven randonues between February and August, an accrobranche day on 15 June with the park privatised (€22), the February bowling and laser game (€30–35, €1 insurance for guests), and Vendanges Naturistes on 29 August.

Their blog is the only one in this whole file that reports headcounts as a matter of routine, with named rotating authors: 14 walkers at La Croix Guenard on 3 August — "quatorze randonneurs motivés, frais comme des gardons", and an "opération « rhabillage express »" when the group was surprised on the trail — 10 at Médréac on 21 July including two first-timers, one of whom wrote "Première randonnée… et sûrement pas la dernière !", and 12 at Iffendic on 1 July.

A verified zero-social organisation: the site and an email address are the entire channel. The €1 guest insurance is the detail that shows how French club naturism actually onboards outsiders.
